It s been fifteen years since RIVERDANCE first tapped its way onto the world stage thrilling millions of people around the globe. This unique show has been experienced LIVE by over 22 million people; in over 10,000 performances in 350 cities in 40 countries spread across 4 continents. It is the first international show to tour China extensively. Riverdance is a theatrical show consisting of traditional Irish stepdancing, notable for its rapid leg movements while body and arms are kept largely stationary. It originated as an interval performance during the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest, a moment that is still considered a significant watershed in Irish culture.

This new DVD was filmed LIVE in the Beijing Exhibition Centre to celebrate the shows 15th Anniversary as part of its 12 city tour of China in 2010. It showcases the incredible beauty, energy and skill of the dance combined with the captivating rhythms of the music. This recording, which is the first since 2001, was filmed to the highest specifications on RED High Definition cameras giving the quality of 35mm film. Every Riverdance fan will enjoy this superb Blu-Ray product with Dolby Digital Surround Sound. As an additional feature to this Blu-Ray disc there is an extra half hour of material where the audience can get behind the scenes of the making of this programme including an interview with the director, Declan Lowney.
